Bloomsburg, PA, USA—June 8, 2022— At SEKISUI KYDEX, it’s all about the journey. Stop by stand 5D40 to begin yours.
Ben Smalley, Aviation Market Business Manager, is excited to see the aviation industry come back together and reunite with old friends. He says: “What makes this year’s show so special and unique is the amount of time our industry has spent apart. We will get to see the culmination of three years of development in one show!”
During the AIX show, SEKISUI KYDEX will debut one of their newest products, Kleerdex™ Custom Translucents, developed to elevate the passenger experience. Kleerdex™ is a fully compliant, decorative translucent thermoplastic for aviation interiors. Designers can achieve refined cabin architecture using a blend of tactile elements, patterns, and hues.
In addition to new products, explore the full KYDEX® Thermoplastics aviation portfolio, including surfaceGrip™, the newest collection of Crystal Cabin award-winning Infused Imaging™ Technology designs, and custom decorative textures.
“We are thrilled for our customers to experience our newly released Kleerdex™ Custom Translucents, decorative textures collection, and surfaceGrip™ product innovations. With the further development of our appLab™ and designLab® innovation centers, our team is ready to engage in deep discussions beyond just material selection, and explore ways bring your vision to reality,” Smalley shared.
The SEKISUI KYDEX Innovation Centers, appLab™ and designLab®, were developed as a place to inspire their visitors with every interaction. These service areas are not just focused on products and process but are instead designed for paths of discovery and exploration. While innovative solutions are expected to come from these Innovation Centers, the focus is on the experience of creating them rather than finding one specific solution.
One of many partners to successfully achieve a refined fit and finish with innovative solutions is BUTTERFLY® Flexible Seating. BUTTERFLY® Cofounder and Commercial Director, Lars Rinne, shared: “It is through partnerships across the entire supply chain, that we executed a finished prototype using flight ready materials. We are pleased to showcase BUTTERFLY 2.0 at the 2022 AIX show on the SEKISUI KYDEX stand.”
Go beyond the use of material today: explore recycled materials for the future. The SEKISUI KYDEX stand will feature a thermoplastics lifecycle display and introduce the new KYDEX® RCL product line, an exclusive recycle grade material for aviation interiors.
Outside of their stand, Ben Smalley, Aviation Market Business Manager for SEKISUI KYDEX, and Elina Kopola, Founder of Trendworks, will represent Green Cabin Alliance with a panel presentation at the Passenger Experience Conference (PEC) event to discuss “Getting to Carbon Neutral in 4 Seat Generations.”
