Orlando, FL—May 7, 2018— SEKISUI Polymer Innovations, LLC, is attending NPE 2018 in Orlando, FL, May 7-11. SEKISUI SPI supports the growing global markets of aviation, mass transit, medical device, heavy equipment, and automation. Collaboration, passion, and the dedication of its 300-plus employees—along with their suppliers, integrators, and consultants—all make this possible. Ronn Cort, COO & President, explains, “We simply would not be where we are today without our partners. We are indebted and grateful, and we hope sharing the story of our expansion through collaboration inspires more advances in the thermoplastics industry.”

In Holland, MI, SEKISUI SPI is partnering with Allied Dies in Chippewa Falls, WI, to replace a decommissioned extrusion line with a dual-manifold die.

Ultra-Poly Corporation’s Nicholas La Fiura and Kevin Cronin recently proposed a way to increase the recycling of KYDEX® Thermoplastic trim scrap at SEKISUI SPI’s North Campus in Bloomsburg, PA. They worked with Ultra-Poly for more than a year to develop material-specific recycling equipment at SEKISUI SPI’s South Campus.

Transporting raw material is complex. Blue Rock Construction in Allentown, PA, Schenck Process in Kansas City, MO, and Greiner Extrusion US in Meadville, PA, are working together to engineer an 80-foot blend tower with four levels of equipment.

Milacron in Batavia, OH, is helping to expand productivity at SEKISUI SPI’s South Campus. They supplied the facility’s first line and are installing the second. The new PVC sheet extrusion line will take SEKISUI SPI further in the design and implementation of a Rockwell Automations control system.

appLab™, the newest addition to SEKISUI SPI’s suite of innovation centers, helps customers develop solutions at any point in the product-development process. appLab™ combines creativity, product expertise, and technical services. Its 8,000-square-foot space offers the tools, fabrication, testing equipment, expertise, and technology required to convert a concept into a component. Through our partnerships, we are making this a reality come Fall 2018.

SEKISUI SPI helps customers develop solutions that support global middle class growth, creating products that bring safety, energy savings, and environmentally sustainable solutions to aviation, mass transit, medical device, and automation markets. Attending NPE? Visit us at stand #S30119.
