Ben Smalley is promoted to the new Director of Business Development at SEKISUI KYDEX. He will lead the business development team to continue growth in their strategic markets as well as new emerging markets.

New Director of Business Development, Ben Smalley

In the last six years Smalley built his network and guided the SEKISUI KYDEX aviation and design teams to reimagine the way they collaborate with customers. Ben raising his hand for the position was inspired by his vision to make SEKISUI KYDEX a leader in aviation, mass transit, medical, and new market exploration.

Smalley’s passion for the aviation business positioned SEKISUI KYDEX as a thought leader in aviation interiors. He found success in his earlier role as aviation market business manager by reconnecting with customers and restructuring how the company interacted with the industry. His efforts to expand the aircraft seating OEMs customer base and designer relationships continue to elevate the aviation business.

Ben has developed from a high-performing customer-focused sales professional to a leader with a true understanding of the SEKISUI KYDEX business, culture, and long-term plans. He will join the strategic leadership team and assist in leading the organization by bringing the voice of the customer to the decision-making process and providing representation to customer-facing teams. Ben commented, “I am honored for the opportunity to lead our business development strategy and continue to grow within our organization. I look forward to learning more about other areas of our business and leading our teams into new markets and applications.”
